On-Line Workshop Description:
If you’ve accidentally hit the Reply-All button or aren’t sure when to CC or BCC a colleague, Writing Effective Emails will clarify email’s most common points of confusion for you.
Email is an ever-present method of communication at work and at home. Despite our increasing reliance on using it, we may miss subtle cues or take action that could puzzle or even offend our audience.
During the one-day workshop, participants will learn how to draft concise emails that provide clear information and direction to the target audience. The workshop covers the role that email plays in the business environment and explores appropriate professional usage, via topics such as response time, common mistakes and calls to action. Email writers of all levels will gain the confidence to communicate effectively and learn valuable ways to finesse their email etiquette.
In this two-stage registration process, participants must first register by clicking the ‘Register for this class’ button at the top of this page. After receiving confirmation, registrants will receive a separate email with details on how to access the content and exercises starting on October 21, 2013.
